NOTE: In retrospect, this scootertrip was kind of "tame" compared with later
mudbike rides, as was the topography around Kanchanaburi when compared with
places I visited later; but keep in mind this was after I had barely graduated
from a solid Fongers bicycle and had spent more than 90% of my life in the flat plains of Holland ;0]
