 We went on numerous expeditions till I left Thailand in August 1957. Charles and I both drove MG's, but I soon switched to a jeep. Some of our adventures are described and pictured in the fine book : "MANGO SUMMER" which Cynthia published in 1960. And yes, she did eventually marry Charles and they lived happily ever after! I know because we visited them on our own honeymoon in 1963. A WWW search in Jan 2002 revealed Charles' fascinating career after "The Gospel" ... ; "Cynthia Cockburn" amassed 171,000 Google links in October, 2005: try it!! |
